Tasneem Mohamed, Academic Advisor for the Social Behavioral Sciences and Global Studies degrees, has been awarded a Graduate Equity Fellowship Award, from the Division of Research and Graduate Studies at California State University at Fresno. Ms. Mohamed has recently completed her first year in the Doctorate of Educational Leadership program at CSU Fresno. She is interested in research to identify effective strategies to overcome socio-cultural and environmental barriers that adversely impact the retention and graduation rates of student-parents. Ms. Mohamed's professional goals include working in academic leadership to address equity and inclusion at all levels and to improve academic outcomes among students from vulnerable populations.
