Two leaders in sustainable agriculture will discuss "Smarter Agriculture: Feeding More - Impacting Less” as the focal event of an agricultural forum and job fair on Monday, Oct. 7, at Cal State Monterey Bay’s Otter Student Union.

In what is billed as a fireside chat, guest speakers Christine Moseley, founder and CEO of Full Harvest, and Brandi DeCarli, founding partner and CEO of Farm From A Box, will address the subject as part of the event, “Ag Jobs: Bringing A Greater Vision.” Dennis Donohue, director of Western Growers Center for Innovation and Technology, will host the talk.

The forum and job fair are being sponsored by CSUMB's Business and Science colleges, the Grower-Shipper Foundation and Western Growers, with KAZU as the official media sponsor. Ag industry professionals and job seekers are invited to the free event. CSUMB President Vanya Quiñones and Provost Andrew Lawson are scheduled to provide opening remarks.

Two panel discussions will follow the conversation between Moseley and DeCarli, with ag industry leaders discussing "Sustainability in Ag" and "Climate in Agriculture."

Attendees are encouraged to come early and enjoy a free lunch sponsored by Western Growers.
