Liberal Studies

Since we prepare future educators to teach in a variety of grade levels and content areas, our faculty expertise is just as broad. 

You’ll learn from professors and instructors knowledgeable about language, literature, history, social studies, science, and the arts — not just the subjects themselves, but how to teach them, too. 

As a liberal studies student at CSUMB, you will also receive support and guidance from an expert staff, including academic advisors.
