How to Use
- Add a Title
- Optionally add an Image. Recommend image is at least 1360px x 800px. The image can be any size or aspect ratio, and will be cropped and resized to the size required automatically by a service called PXL.
- If adding an Image optionally add an Image Caption
- Add the Publish Date
- Add an Abstract, a short description of the News item
- Add the Main Body, containing the content for the News item. This is a WYSIWYG area which supports headings, lists, links, tables, images etc, see WYSIWYG content options for guidance and examples
- Select Colleges and Departments which apply
- The Show on Homepage and Show on Section Landing Page elements are not used in the 2024 build
- The Dashboard Image and Dashboard Role are not currently used in the 2024 build, but may be used as part of a later phase of the project
- Optionally add a Callout box:
- Add a Callout Title - this is required for the Callout box to show
- Optionally add a Callout Description
- Optionally a Callout Button. Add Callout Button Text and either select a section or content item for the Callout Button Link (internal) (ignore the Use default link text checkbox), or paste the full URL for the Callout Button Link (external) (please do not enter both)
- Optionally add an Author, a Media Contact and a Phone Number
- Select the News Type
- Select the News Topic(s) which apply
- Check Include News to Feature for the the News item to pull through to related news content types. If the Include News to Feature element is checked an Image must be added.
- Optionally add a Meta Description and Meta Keywords
Additional Content
After adding your CSUMB 2024 - News content item additional content types which are compatible with the CSUMB 2024 - Full Width page layout can be added. Ensure the CSUMB 2024 - News is the first content item in the section.
