Role of Peer Educators
The Peer Education Program trains CSUMB students to utilize a peer-based harm reduction approach to promote healthy living among students at California State University Monterey Bay.
Upon completion of the Peer Education training course (offered in both the Fall and Spring semesters), certified Peer Educators conduct outreach activities and events that encourage responsible lifestyle choices by increasing awareness and correcting misperceptions about various health and student life issues.

Mission
As a component of the Health Promotion and Education Department, the POWER Peer Education program trains students to provide primary prevention education and health promotion to foster academic success and well being.
Fall 2026 Training
