Ecotourism Adventure in Costa Rica - Faculty-led Program

These deadlines apply only to the Pre-acceptance phase. The Post-Acceptance phase must be completed by the mandatory Education Abroad pre-departure orientation.
Program Details
- January 10-18, 2020
- Housing is included in the program fee. Students will stay in sustainable tourism hotels in double-occupancy rooms.
- Breakfast is included daily. Students arrange other meals.
Description Costs *Program Fee $1,540 - Program fee will be placed on the students' accounts after enrollment in the program is finalized. After November 1st, in case of withdrawal from the program, 50% of the program fee will be refunded. If withdrawal occurs after December 1st, 0% of the program fee will be refunded. Education Abroad Application Fee (non-refundable) A $70 depository fee must be paid through your OASIS account. Under Finances select "Make a Payment", then select the "Study Abroad Application Deposit". (The $70 fee will be applied towards your Education Abroad Fee when you go abroad). Education Abroad Fee $250 Mandatory Health Insurance Insurance is charged at broker’s cost (approximately $75/16-31 days) Airfare Varies by departure location and date of purchase – not included in the program fees Ticket is purchased by the student. (Please do not purchase airfare until confirmation from program director, Professor Roberta Atzori) Housing Students will stay in sustainable tourism hotels in double-occupancy rooms (included in program fee). Meals Breakfast is included daily. Students arrange other meals. Personal Expenses Varies by departure location and date of purchase (ticket is purchased by the student) *Program fee is subject to change.

The Ecotourism Adventure in Costa Rica is a program led by Dr. John Avella in collaboration with Maximo Nivel.
Our group will be guided by the expert tour leaders of Maximo Nivel, at the discovery of the most incredible Ecotourism country in the world. Site visits include professional meetings, educational activities, and leisure time to experience the beauty of Costa Rican natural wonders and live the experience of a lifetime.
Tours include: Butterfly Kindom Mariposario, Finca Rosa Blanca Hotel, Coffee Tour, Arenal Hike, Mangrove Kayaking Punta Islita, Manuel Antonio National Park, and Zip-lining
