This workshop provides an opportunity to reflect on current hiring practices and improve upon them by exploring the following objectives:
· Learn how first impressions and biases mayaffect evaluation of applicants
· Understand major characteristics thatinfluence first impressions
· Become familiar with research on biases inhiring
· Explore ways to avoid pitfalls of bias inthe evaluation process by understanding bias types/theory
