Office of the Provost

Otter Futures is CSUMB's path to ensure every student graduates with the skills, experiences, connections, and confidence to thrive in meaningful careers and/or continued education. Through career-connected learning, coaching, experiential opportunities, and employer engagement, Otter Futures prepares every student for success from their first semester through graduation and beyond.

Career Success Outcomes

Students will identify and articulate their strengths, values, and goals to connect them to multiple potential career pathways.

Students will confidently navigate career pathways by making informed decisions and adapting to changing personal circumstances, emerging opportunities, and evolving social and workforce contexts.

Students will build and engage in meaningful professional relationships to access opportunities and support their career development.

    Students will apply academic learning in hands-on settings and reflect on those experiences to develop and demonstrate career-relevant skills.

      Students will confidently articulate the value of their education, experiences, strengths, and skills through compelling written and verbal communication while pursuing meaningful careers, graduate education, and opportunities that align with their goals and values.
