Workplace Violence Prevention
The University Corporation is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful work environment.
The Workplace Violence Prevention Program (WVPP) raises awareness, improves reporting procedures and implements protective measures to reduce workplace violence.
As of July 1, 2024, most California employers are required to establish and maintain a Workplace Violence Prevention Plan that includes:
- Prohibition of retaliation
- Procedures for reporting and responding to workplace violence
- Employee training and communication
- Emergency response planning
- Workplace violence hazard assessments
- Maintenance of a violent incident log and related records
