The University Corporation at Monterey Bay offers a competitive total compensation package designed to support the well-being of our employees and their families. Benefits may include salary, retirement contributions, health coverage, paid leave, professional development opportunities and more.

Housing

A unique benefit of working with the Corporation is access to affordable employee housing in the East Campus neighborhood at Schoonover Park. The community is located just minutes from the main campus and is managed by Greystar.

Health Care

Employees have access to medical, dental, and vision coverage, with low employee premiums as part of our comprehensive benefits package.

Retirement

The Corporation’s 403(b) Retirement Plan includes a 10% employer contribution, with a six-month waiting period and immediate vesting once eligible.

Time Off

Employees enjoy a generous paid time off program, including:

  • Thirteen paid holidays each year, plus one personal holiday
  • Sick leave accrued at eight hours per month worked
  • Vacation accrual based on position and years of service
    Staff: 10 days per year upon hire
    Management: 24 days per year upon hire
