Visual & Public Art Learning Outcomes

Historical and Philosophical Analysis

Students research, analyze and critically develop positions on issues in visual and public art. They consider contemporary, historical, ethical and sociopolitical perspectives to deepen their understanding of artistic practice.

Individual and Aesthetic Exploration

Students investigate and develop their individual aesthetics through critical reflection on their personal experiences and perspectives and how they shape their creative work.

Community Issues Analysis

Students examine cross-cultural and community issues and develop thoughtful, community-sensitive creative responses through research, problem-solving and artistic practice.

Organizational and Collaborative Skills

Students use collaborative strategies to plan and carry out interdisciplinary arts projects, building the organizational and interpersonal skills needed to work effectively with others.
