Otter Academic Success Program

The Otter Academic Success Program is designed to support and guide students who are currently on academic probation with a CSUMB or cumulative GPA below 2.0. Our goal is to connect you with the resources and encouragement you need to thrive.

As part of the program, you will be added to the Otter Academic Success Canvas course and will complete key milestones throughout the semester. This includes

  • Meeting with both your academic advisor and success advisor
  • Attending a minimum of three tutoring sessions with the Cooperative Learning Center

Through the program, you will be empowered by your success team, receiving personalized support as you strive to achieve good academic standing and meet your academic goals.

If you have any questions about your academic probation status, please connect with your academic advisor and/or success advisor.

Success Advisors

NOTE: Guardian Scholars, EOP, TRiO SSS and CAMP students will meet with their program’s retention advisor to fulfill their Otter Academic Success program requirements and for their initial and follow-up appointments. However, they must also meet with their academic advisor to update their learning plan.
