Through the Monterey Institute for English Learners (MIEL) and the option to add a Bilingual Authorization to the Elementary Education credential, students gain specialized training to serve multilingual classrooms effectively.
The department makes support easy with walk-in advising, drop-in Zoom sessions, and application workshops, so students always have direct access to answers and resources.
