Student Success Advising

Looking to strengthen your academic skills or improve your performance? Student Success Advising helps you build the tools and strategies to move forward with confidence.

Get support with time management, study strategies, stress management, goal setting and connecting to campus resources.

Otter Academic Success Course

This course supports students on academic probation (GPA below 2.0) with structured guidance throughout the semester. You’ll be enrolled in a Canvas course and complete key milestones to improve your academic standing.

Program requirements:

  • Meet with your Academic Advisor
  • Meet with a Success Advisor
  • Attend three tutoring sessions
  • Complete Canvas modules

Success Advising

Undergraduate students in most majors may schedule with a Success Advisor to strengthen academic skills and complete the Otter Academic Success Course requirements.

Students in Nursing, Computer Science Online, EOP, TRiO SSS, and Guardian Scholars complete the Otter Academic Success Course requirements with an advisor assigned by their program.

CARE Reports

Concerned about a student’s well-being? Submit a CARE report to connect them with support.

Use this form to report concerns related to a student’s health, safety, behavior, or any situation that may need attention.

The CARE Manager partners with Health and Wellness Services, University Police, Student Conduct and other campus offices to provide coordinated support for students facing challenges.
