Otter Cycle Center

Cal State Monterey Bay is a nationally recognized bike-friendly campus. CSUMB Recreation supports our cyclists — and promotes biking — in many ways.

A big part of that is the Otter Cycle Center, your friendly campus bike shop. From bike rentals, repairs, parts and services to organized group rides and skills clinics, you will find what you need to support your cycling needs.

Whether you’ve been riding for a long time or are just getting started with your two-wheeled adventures, we hope you’ll become part of our welcoming cycling community.

Rentals

Rent a bike for the day, weekend, semester, academic year or any duration of your choice. We have road bikes, mountain bikes and commuter bikes available. 

Repairs

The Otter Cycle Center offers affordable tune-up and repair services from our student mechanics. We also stock basic bike parts to help keep your bike reliably rolling.

Rides

Our organized group rides happen consistently throughout the semester. The Coastal Ride will take you along the beautiful coast to Fisherman's Wharf for lunch, while our mountain bike rides in the Fort Ord National Monument will take you through picturesque coastal live oak forest and coastal chaparral.
