CSUMB’s campus regulations keep the university safe and running effectively.

CSUMB's campus regulations apply to students, staff, faculty, and visitors.

  • Security cameras are recording at all times.
  • Firearms, weapons, and explosives are prohibited.
  • Smoking, vaping, and tobacco use are prohibited.
  • The speed limit is 25 mph unless otherwise posted.
  • Parking permits are required. Street parking is available only where posted.
  • Call 911 in an emergency. For non-emergencies, call University Police at 831-655-0268.

Prior approval is required for:

  • Building and ground use
  • Posting bills, notices, solicitations, or advertisements of any kind

In an emergency, CALL 9-1-1. The Police Department’s public counter is open Mon-Fri, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. when CSUMB is open. Officers are available 24/7. Call (831) 655-0268 for non-emergency situations.
