- Develop your first resume and cover letter or update existing and get them reviewed by your Career Advisor
- Explore the CSUMB Career Development website to learn more about our services
Sophomore Year
- Attend all Career Fairs, begin searching for summer internships and apply
- Visit the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Center (UROC) to find and apply for research opportunities in your discipline
- Talk with Professionals in your career field(s) of interest and conduct informational interviews.
- Develop and engage your network through LinkedIn, Faculty/Staff, Alumni, Family
- Check-in with your Career Advisor
- Connect with your Department's internship program for resources
- Update or Create your resume and cover letter
Junior Year
- Check-in with your Career Advisor
- Attend all Career Fairs, search for a summer internships and apply.
- Attend Career Development Workshops
- LinkedIn profile updated and available for recruiters and employers
- Network and conduct informational interviews.
- Discover Micro-credentialing resources
- Schedule a Mock Interview
- Update/Create your resume and cover letter
- Begin researching Graduate Schools
Senior Year
- Check-in with your Career Advisor
- Attend all Career Fairs, search for a entry level job and apply
- Update your resume and cover letter
- Begin searching and applying for first job (as early as fall semester
- Attend Career Development Workshops
- Continue building your network

- Begin application process for Graduate School in September
