Elementary Education, Multiple Subject Teaching Credential
The credential program will engage and inspire you to elevate your ability to create positive classroom environments, equity and inclusion through your coursework and an abundance of practical, hands-on learning opportunities.

Our strong focus on enhancing equitable outcomes for all students will better equip you to have a profound impact in the classroom, with your students, and with the communities you serve.
Our emphasis on evidence-based literacy instructional practices will empower you as a teacher to increase engagement, foster improved overall academic performance, enhance your students’ social-emotional development, and leverage students’ diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds for learning.
Our implementation of classroom behavior support strategies will prepare you to improve classroom communication and experiences through positive behaviors in response to challenging situations.
Our faculty mentorship and hands-on learning will take you out into real-world clinical teaching placements in local elementary schools across the Tri-County region, including Santa Cruz, San Benito, and Monterey throughout your experience in the program.

- ED 603A - Stage2 Elem Teaching Seminar Units: 2
- ED 609 - Math Methods Units: 3
- ED 611 - Teaching and Learning Units: 3
- ED 612 - Pedagogy for Ling Diversity Units: 3
- ED 615 - Social Studies & Visual/Performing Arts Methods Units: 3
- ED 616 - Lang/Literacy Curriculum I Units: 3
- ED 617 - Lang/Literacy Curriculum II Units: 3

Complete one of the following course/course combinations:
- ED 550 - Health and Physical Education Units: 2
- KIN 373 - Health and Physical Education Units: 2 and
- KIN 373L - Health and Physical Education Lab Units: 1
Students on the Internship Pathway are required to complete the following course at least two times:
- ED 600 - Field Supervision Units: 3
