Exploring the Ideas, Histories and Systems That Shape Human Societies

The Department of Social Sciences and Global Studies helps students explore the forces that shape human behavior, culture and societies around the world. Whether studying anthropology, history, political science, sociology or global studies, students learn to ask critical questions, analyze complex issues and apply their knowledge to real-world challenges.

Our programs emphasize both depth and flexibility. Students benefit from faculty mentorship, interdisciplinary coursework and opportunities to connect classroom learning with hands-on research, internships and community engagement.
