By car

  1. Follow Highway 101 south toward Salinas.
  2. Merge onto Highway 156 west toward the Monterey Peninsula.
  3. Highway 156 becomes Highway 1 south.
  4. Take Exit 406 onto Lightfighter Drive (CSU Monterey Bay main entrance). You will circle back over the highway onto Lightfighter Drive.
  5. At the third traffic signal, turn left onto General Jim Moore Blvd.
  6. Follow the signs to your desired campus location.
  1. Follow Highway 101 north to Salinas.
  2. Take the Monterey Peninsula exit (Sanborn Road). At the stop sign, turn right to go back under the highway.
  3. Sanborn Road will bend to the right and become Blanco Road.
  4. Remain on Blanco Road until it bends to the left and ends at a traffic light.
  5. At the light, turn right to merge onto Reservation Road.
  6. Turn left at the second traffic signal onto Imjin Road.
  7. Turn left again at the second traffic signal onto Abrams Drive.
  8. Wind through the CSUMB Housing area, then, when the road ends, turn right onto Inter-Garrison Road.
  9. Follow the signs to your desired campus location.

  2. Take Exit 406 onto Lightfighter Drive (CSU Monterey Bay main entrance).
  3. At the third traffic signal, turn left onto General Jim Moore Blvd.
  4. Follow the signs to your desired campus location.

  2. Take Exit 406 onto Lightfighter Drive (CSU Monterey Bay main entrance). You will circle back over the highway onto Lightfighter Drive.
  3. At the third traffic signal, turn left onto General Jim Moore Blvd.
  4. Follow the signs to your desired campus location.

By bus or train

Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) offers direct service between downtown Monterey and the CSUMB campus.

  1. Take MST Line 18 to the CSUMB Alumni & Visitor Center.
  1. Take MST Line 25 to the CSUMB Alumni & Visitor Center.

OR

  1. Take MST Line 20 to the Marina Transit Exchange.
  2. Take MST Line 16 to the CSUMB Alumni & Visitor Center.
  1. Take MST Line 27 to the Marina Transit Exchange.
  2. Take MST Line 16 to the CSUMB Alumni & Visitor Center.
  1. Take MST Line 55 to the Sand City Station.
  2. Take MST Line 16 to the CSUMB Alumni & Visitor Center).

By air

  1. When you exit the airport's main entrance, turn right onto Highway 68 west.
  2. Follow 68 to Highway 1.
  3. Take Highway 1 north.
  4. Take Exit 406 onto Lightfighter Drive (CSU Monterey Bay main entrance).
  5. At the third traffic signal, turn left onto General Jim Moore Blvd.
  6. Follow the signs to your desired campus location.
