Academic Committee on International Programs (ACIP)

The California State University, Monterey Bay Academic Committee on International Programs (ACIP)shall evaluate and make recommendations regarding international programs, activities or issues that affect or are affected by the operation of the University’s international programs. This includes programs that are housed in the various colleges, exchange programs with foreign universities, and individual faculty members and groups interested in aspects of the curriculum directed to international studies or to international students.

The charge of this committee shall include, but not be limited to:

  • Advise the Director of International Programs;
  • Formulate curricular and policy recommendations to be forwarded to the Academic Senate through its standing committees and to other campus-wide committees as appropriate;
  • Represent the faculty on matters concerning international programs;
  • Elicit support from the faculty and administration for international programs
  • Facilitate coordination of inter-College and campus-wide projects which enhance the University's international programs;
  • Develop plans for new international education projects, in cooperation with departments/schools or colleges;
  • Bring any problems or concerns regarding the operation of international programs to the attention of whichever University offices or committees have responsibility for resolving such problems or concerns;
  • Report annually to the Academic Senate.
