Welcome to the Raft!

We are excited that you are about to become an official Otter, joining an amazingly involved and diverse community of over 7,500 students. We want to help you feel at home on campus! Keep an eye out for Mondays with Monte emails. Mondays with Monte is a weekly communication for new students. We will share important action items and deadlines, introduce you to campus resources and activities, and put you in touch with people here to support your success.

Register for Spring 2026 Orientation

Orientation Overview 

Orientation is an opportunity to learn about campus resources, meet friends, hear from an Academic Advisor, and develop connections with fellow students, staff, and faculty.  

Before registering for your orientation session, be sure to Confirm your Enrollment and pay the $100 fee.  Your student account will be created 24-48 hours after you have paid the Enrollment Confirmation Fee by January 2nd, 2026

Login to MyRaft with the CSU Monterey Login button using your CSUMB username (e.g. mont1234) and password to register for the Spring 2026 Orientation session.

Guest Policy

Guests must be registered by their student in order to attend an orientation session. Payment of the guest fee is required prior to your orientation date. Refunds are permitted up to 2 weeks prior to the session date. Email your refund request and include your student’s name, date of payment and reason for the refund. Please note that a processing fee is charged, and refunds can take from 2-3 weeks to post. Fees are transferable to a different date.

CSUMB works to make events accessible for all. If you need assistance due to a disability to attend the events, please contact us via email or call 831-582-4693 at least 10 days prior to the event. Please include the type of assistance you are requesting in your message.
