Chipotle has gifted Cal State Monterey Bay $500,000 toward the construction of a new greenhouse complex on the east side of campus.

The complex – consisting of four separate greenhouses and a headhouse – will benefit students in the College of Science’s mechatronics engineering, and agricultural plant and soil sciences programs.

“We’re excited that the greenhouse will allow students to get hands-on training and equip the next generation to develop sustainable solutions,” said Jonathan Zacks, Chipotle’s Director of Brand Activation.
