First annual Winter Night Market coming Dec. 7 to Otter Student Union
The evening holiday gift shopping event is happening at the Otter Student Union plaza 4 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7.
Among CSUMB’s many new campus traditions and observances comes the first annual Winter Night Market, an evening holiday gift shopping event at the Otter Student Union from 4 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7.
There will be over 20 vendors selling crafts and products ranging from handcrafted soaps and jewelry to pre-packaged food and baked goods, and family-friendly items. Light displays, crafts and a complimentary hot chocolate bar are also planned.
“We hope this event highlights local vendors and entrepreneurs in our community, including some CSUMB alumni, who are creating unique and amazing handcrafted items,” said Zack Simmons, programs and communications coordinator for Associated Students.
Vendors include Eco-Family Farm, Aloha Charms 808, Miss Lippe’s Dumpling Party, Blissful Teas and Theta Alpha Sigma sorority. Alumni and student vendors will include Johnny Wicks Candles, Vadroka Illustrations, Sun Paxx and Crochet by Maddie.
Associated Students, Entrepreneurship Club and the Institute for Economic and Development (iiED) created the event to usher in the end of the semester, further connect the campus to our surrounding communities and invite everyone to come together and shop locally.
