A celebration of musical theater will take place Friday, Oct. 20, at CSU Monterey Bay’s World Theater as part of the ongoing Voice Recital Series. 

“Musical Theatre: A Genre of Art and Storytelling,” is this month’s theme and selections will include songs from such Broadway productions as “Grease,” “The Whiz” and “Waitress.” The songs will be performed in costume, with a theatrical flair. 

The performance begins at 4 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
