CSUMB Experience Survey 2025
Every three years, all degree-seeking enrolled students are invited to complete the CSUMB Experience Survey.
The survey will run with emailed invitations from April 7 to May 12, and all completing the survey by April 30 will receive CSUMB SWAG and be entered into a gift card drawing with a $500 grand prize. The drawings will occur in early May. Be sure to complete the survey by then for your chance to be entered into the drawings. All students that have completed the survey by then are eligible for the drawing.
Check your @CSUMB.EDU email for your invitation to participate.
The survey requires just 10-15 minutes of your time. Completing this survey is an opportunity for you to tell faculty, staff, and administrators about your experience with various aspects of CSUMB. It is a part of our university’s mission to serve our students, and it is our responsibility to you all to ensure we are putting our best efforts towards helping you succeed.
Note that your responses to all of the questions will remain confidential, subject to applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
If you did not receive an invitation to participate but would like to be entered into the drawing, send a letter via inter-campus mail to Institutional Assessment and Research arriving prior to the drawing.
CSUMB’s faculty, staff, and administrators appreciate you completing the survey so that we can make CSUMB an even better place for all students.
Utilization of past CSUMB experience survey findings
Students’ responses from previous CSUMB Experience Surveys have led to many improvements in academic and non-academic offerings, including the following:
- Easier path to completing requirements for your major
- Improving academic and career advising with some integration into the curriculum
- Student Affairs created Lunch with the Dean and meets regularly with the Associated Students to consult with them and address student concerns
- In response to student interest, the university opened a new Fitness Center at the University Center
- Campus social life has been enhanced with more frequent, varied, and coordinated programming -- like the popular Otter Thursdays -- and new traditions, such as The Plunge, that attract hundreds of students
