Managers/MPPs (Management Personnel Plan)

Employment guidelines and procedures for managers at Cal State Monterey Bay.

Employees in the Management Personnel Plan (MPP) at CSU Monterey Bay play a vital role in leading teams, supporting university operations and advancing the campus mission.

This section provides resources, policies and procedures to help MPP employees understand employment guidelines and their rights and responsibilities.

Outside Employment Disclosure

Management Personnel Plan employees are required to disclose any outside employment that could create a potential conflict of interest with their CSU role. The disclosure ensures transparency and compliance with CSU conflict-of-interest policies.

Employees must complete the required disclosure form and submit it for review before beginning any secondary employment. This process helps maintain ethical standards and safeguards against conflicts that could affect university operations.

Reconsideration Process

Employees who disagree with a personnel action may request reconsideration. The process allows MPP employees to seek review of decisions such as classification changes or compensation adjustments.

Requests should be made in writing to Human Resources within the designated time period outlined in CSU policy. HR will review the request, evaluate documentation, and communicate the outcome directly to the employee.
