About Us

The TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) and SSS STEM‑Health Sciences programs at CSUMB are federally funded through the U.S. Department of Education and devoted to helping first‑generation college students, students from low‑income backgrounds, and students with disabilities thrive.

At TRIO, our mission is to empower you to reach your academic, professional, and personal goals. All eligible students are encouraged to apply. TRIO welcomes participants of all races, ethnicities, genders, and backgrounds. 

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must meet at least one of the following:

  • You are a first-generation student (your parent or guardian has not earned a bachelor’s degree)
  • You meet federal low-income guidelines (no more than 150% above the poverty line)
  • You have a documented physical, learning, or psychological disability
