Educating, communicating and facilitating with the campus community to ensure all events are held safely and successfully.

The mission of University Affairs, Ceremonies and Events at CSUMB is to work with faculty and staff – as well as members of the surrounding community – to ensure campus events are held within the established guidelines and protocols.

Event Spaces and Support

Our event professionals have the knowledge, experience and practical know-how to produce high-quality, professional events on-campus and off-campus. 

UACE event professionals are assigned by facility, college and division. Review our Event Professionals Relationship Matrix to find the event professional assigned to you and your area.

Spaces and Rooms

Effective July 1, 2025, there are only three types of spaces on campus:

Academic Spaces  

Academic spaces are booked through 25Live and processed by Academic Scheduling. No food or catering is allowed in academic spaces. If food is part of your event, you must book an event space adjacent to the academic space.

Academic spaces must be used as is, no special setups are permitted.

Conference Rooms

Conference rooms are booked through individual points of contact. Catering is permitted in conference rooms, and potlucks may be allowed depending on a determination by Risk.

Event Spaces and Parking Lots

Event spaces and parking lots are booked through 25Live and processed by UACE. Food and catering are allowed in event spaces, and special set ups are permitted. Potlucks are not allowed in event spaces. 

Event professionals will be assigned to assist with events approved in the space.
