Frederick Park (East Campus) Residents - Free

Registered residents of East Campus can receive a parking permit at no charge. East Campus parking permits are not valid in any other campus lot. For students living on campus, permit details will depend on your housing location.

Contractor/vendor permits are sold to people and companies providing goods and services to the University, and they are provided at the same cost as a regular semester permit.

Construction companies and their subcontractors, repair or maintenance service providers, and delivery and freight companies are among those eligible to purchase these permits.

Contractor/vendor permits are valid in all parking spaces except special use spaces such as those designated for visitors, the disabled, state vehicles, and service vehicles unless otherwise indicated on the permit.

We offer special permits as a courtesy for a variety of unique parking needs, such as loading/unloading or for students enrolled in a collaborative academic program with a partner school.

To request a special permit, contact parking@csumb.edu.

Daily permits may be purchased online or from permit dispensers located on campus.

Daily Rates:

  • $2 - staff, faculty, and management
  • $5 - students/visitors/other

Daily permits are valid only for the time or dates indicated on the permit. Daily permits are valid in all parking spaces except special use spaces such as those designated for visitors, the disabled, state vehicles, and service vehicles. They are valid in North Quad parking lots.

When purchased online, daily permits may be:

  •  Purchased for several days
  • Purchased in advance

When purchased from a permit dispenser, daily permits may be:

  • Purchased for one, two, or three consecutive days.
  • Purchased only on the time/date needed.

Employee Permits and Payroll Deduction

If you work at Cal State Monterey Bay, you can purchase an annual parking permit using payroll deduction.

  1. Complete the Payroll Deduction Authorization form (you must be logged into your CSUMB account to access the form).
  2. Receive a confirmation email with next steps
  3. Order your permit through the confirmation email
  4. Print your temporary permit

You will receive a renewal email in August with instructions on how to order a new permit.

Replacing Lost or Stolen Permits

We understand things can happen.

First Replacement: The fee for the first replacement of a lost or stolen parking permit is $20 or the prorated cost of a new permit, whichever is lower.

Second/Subsequent Replacement: The fee for the second or subsequent replacement of a lost or stolen parking permit is $20 or the prorated cost of a new permit, whichever is higher. The cost of a replacement permit may never exceed the cost of a full semester permit.

The cost of any replacement permit may be mitigated at the discretion of the Chief of Police or his designee if there is clear evidence that the loss of the permit was the result of criminal action on the part of someone other than the permit holder.
