Transportation and Parking Services

Our team maintains campus parking lots and provides a number of transportation resources and services to the Otter community.

We offer a variety of services and resources, from our own campus shuttle to connecting you with local resources.

The Wave Shuttle

Get where you need to go. Our free shuttle service runs each weekday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on a continuous loop between east and main campus; each loop takes about 27 minutes. Just show your Otter ID and hop on!

All Wave shuttles are equipped with bike racks, as well as cameras for your safety and security.

You may also access maps and pick-up locations, plus track the shuttle in real-time with LIFTANGO

Accessible Parking and Transportation

Accessible parking spaces are available and clearly marked in campus lots. Vehicles using these spaces must display both a valid CSUMB permit and a valid DMV-issued placard or plate.

Paratransit services are available through Monterey-Salinas Transit under the MST RIDES program

Collaborations Across Campus

We collaborate with other members of the CSUMB community to continually improve our services:

Transportation and Parking Committee (TAPC)

This advisory committee promotes accessible, sustainable transportation options for the entire campus community. TAPC members represent voices from across Cal State Monterey Bay, including staff, faculty, and residential and commuter students.

Sustainability Efforts

Our team contributes to University sustainability goals in many ways. This includes aiming to reduce use of single-occupancy vehicles and double the percent of bicycle, walking, carpool and bus/shuttle commute trips each by 2030.
