Taylor Science and Engineering Building

Design and construct a new academic building, the Edward (Ted) Taylor Science and Engineering Building (#52), to support growing programs in the College of Science, including Marine Science and the new Mechatronics (Engineering) program. The project will include approximately 4,400 Assignable Square Feet (ASF) of space, developed in partnership with the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary (MBNMS) under NOAA. The building will consolidate teaching labs, research facilities, and administrative offices, featuring new laboratories for Marine Science and Mechatronics Engineering, along with shared spaces for both programs. The second floor will accommodate NOAA offices, the Mechatronics Engineering suite, and a Marine Science graduate student area.
