FAQ

All payments must be received and cashiered on or before July 31, 2023. We do not consider “post-marked” dates as “paid”. Too ensure that your payment is received before the deadline, you must pay online.

What happens if I don’t pay my tuition by July 31, 2023?

If you don’t pay your tuition & fees or are not covered by financial aid, or don’t have a third party authorization form covering tuition & fees on file with Student Accounting by July 31, 2023, you will be disenrolled from your classes.

Where do I find out how much I owe?

Log in to your CSUMB Dashboard, and go to OASIS. Your most current account balance will always be on your Student Center. See instructions on how to log in and view your account balances.

Is there any kind of payment plan available for tuition & fees?

Yes. View Tuition & Fees Installment Payment Plan. You will need to read and sign the form and email it to ipp@csumb.edu. The first IPP payment must be paid, and the form must be received on or before the payment deadline.

I have a “Pmt extension/No disenrollment” hold on my account. What does this mean?

You have been granted an extension because tuition & fees are covered by financial aid, or student has a third party authorization form covering registration tuition & fees on file with Student Accounting. This extension is found in the “Holds” section of the student’s Student Center. If you have this extension, you will not be dis-enrolled from classes. Your tuition deadline has been extended to September 7, 2023.

I have an “FA Housing Payment Extension” hold on my account. What does this mean?

You have been granted this extension because tuition & fees, housing, and meal plan charges are covered entirely by financial aid, or a combination of student payments, financial aid payments, and/or third party payment. This extension is found in the “Holds” section of the student’s Student Center. If you have this extension, your tuition, housing, and meal plan payment deadline has been extended to September 7, 2023.

Why do I have the “Pmt extension/No disenrollment” and “FA Housing Payment Extension” hold?

If you have housing charges in addition to your tuition& fess, and you have both of these extensions, it means that all of your charges (tuition, fees, housing, meal plan) are covered by financial aid, or a combination of student payments, financial aid payments, and/or third party payment. If you have both of these extensions, your tuition, housing, and meal plan payment deadline has been extended to September 7, 2023.

What do I do if my financial aid only covers a portion of tuition & fees?

You must pay the remainder of your tuition before July 31, 2023, or you will be disenrolled from your classes. Your full tuition & fees must be paid and/or covered by financial aid, on or before the payment deadline.

How do I get my financial aid money?

You must log in to your CSUMB Dashboard/OASIS and accept your financial aid (grants and loans).

When do I get my financial aid money?

Your financial aid money is disbursed to your account during the second week of classes. Your financial aid will be credited towards your “balance due” after it has been disbursed.

How/When do I get my financial aid refund?

If you have more financial aid than “charges due”, you will receive a refund. If you enroll in direct deposit, you will get your refund during the second week of classes. If you don’t enroll in direct deposit, your check will be mailed to you at the end of the second week of classes. If you have less financial aid than “charges due”, you will need to pay the difference before the tuition deadline . Enroll in Direct Deposit instructions

I was disenrolled from my classes due to non-payment. How do I get my classes back?

After the payment deadline has passed, you must pre-pay your tuition & fees in order to register for classes. Once you make your payment, your payment hold will lift within 30 minutes. Then you can attempt to enroll. We can not guarantee that you will be able to enroll in all of the same classes. Go to the tuition cost calculator to get your tuition costs.

I was disenrolled from my classes due to non-payment. I am trying to enroll now, but my Student Center states my amount due is $0. How much do I pay?

Your amount due is $0 because you are not enrolled in any classes. Because the payment deadline has passed, you will need to pre-pay in order to enroll in classes. You can find the tuition & fees cost by going to CSUMB.edu and clicking on the menu and then click on “Cost Calculator”. Once you have made your payment, your pre-pay hold will lift within 30 minutes and you will be able to enroll.
