How to Apply for Housing

Students may apply for either Main Campus or East Campus housing (review eligibility restrictions). Main Campus Housing consists of Residence Halls, North Quad, and Promontory housing areas. East Campus Housing consists of the Frederick Park Apartments. New students applying for on-campus housing must complete the following steps before accessing the on-campus Student Housing Application:

  • Be admitted to Cal State Monterey Bay
  • Confirm your intent to attend by logging into your dashboard and paying the $100 Enrollment Confirmation Deposit
  • Once you pay the $100 Enrollment Confirmation - allow for 48 hours for your fee to be processed and apply for housing here.

Step 1: Visit the Student Housing and Residential Life Website 

Before you begin your application process, explore the housing options and eligibility requirements, or feel free to get to know more through our website. Familiarize yourself with the available housing areas and ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria for your preferred choice.     

Step 2: Complete Your Online Application

You'll indicate your preferred housing area on the application after reviewing the housing options and eligibility requirements. To access the Housing Application, follow the steps to log in to MYHousing. 

  • Logging in to MyHousing
  • Log in to your dashboard using your username and password 
  • Select "MyHousing" in the menu bar 
  • Once logged in, select "Applications" and continue to select the term you wish to apply
  • Follow the on-screen instructions

Note: After you complete your online application, your Oasis account will have a balance of $200 for the Student Housing Reservation Deposit. If you need help navigating how to pay your reservation fee, please follow the steps on this webpage.  

Is my application complete?

Main Campus and East Campus Housing

Applications are considered complete when the online application has been submitted and the $200 Reservation Fee payment has been posted to your student account. Students will not be assigned a room if they do not have BOTH the online application and Reservation Fee on file.
