Submitting Transcripts

Electronic transcripts are preferred and result in shorter processing times.  Check with your school to see if they provide electronic transcript delivery.

Transcripts should be sent directly from the originating institution to the Office of Admissions; hard copy transcripts submitted by the student are acceptable if submitted in the original sealed envelope.

Cal State Monterey Bay accepts electronic transcripts from the majority of colleges and high schools. Please do not email transcripts directly to CSUMB. Transcripts will not be considered official unless they are sent using a secured and verified transcript vendor, or unless sent directly from the originating institution. Instead, you can place an electronic transcript order and add the CSUMB email as the receiving institution; the email address to include as your recipient when you place your order is admissions@csumb.edu.

Hard copy transcripts can be mailed to:

Office of Admissions

Cal State Monterey Bay

100 Campus Center

U.S. citizen/permanent resident applicants who have studied outside the U.S. (Domestic Applicants with International Documents), please review additional document requirements.

High School Transcripts

Check to see if your high school provides electronic transcripts. To send your official high school transcripts electronically, contact your high school directly or check Parchment to see if you can order online.

College Transcripts

All undergraduate applicants must submit official transcripts from each college in which they have enrolled. This includes special sessions, correspondence, and audited courses, as well as any college in which the student was enrolled and withdrew without earning credit.

Please note that if you have taken any courses at a Community College, you will also need to submit transcripts to receive the college credit. Please be sure to check with the college you have attended to see if they provide an electronic transcript.
