The International Health Policy minor prepares students to engage with health issues that cross national boundaries. Developed in collaboration between the Collaborative Health and Human Services and Global Studies programs, the minor offers interdisciplinary training in international health systems and policy development.

Coursework emphasizes global public health, international politics, economics and women’s health. Students develop the foundational knowledge and analytical skills necessary to comprehend complex health challenges and contribute to equitable, sustainable solutions. This minor complements a wide range of majors and supports pathways into graduate study or internationally focused careers in health and human services.

Students who complete the International Health Policy minor will be able to:

  • Practice ethical leadership and collaboration in diverse communities, working toward shared goals in public health and human services.
  • Promote equity and social justice by fostering cultural awareness and understanding of intersecting identities in global health contexts.
  • Apply interdisciplinary knowledge of health systems, public policy and social issues to real-world challenges in the international health arena.

The program prepares students to navigate complex global health issues and contribute to the development of effective and equitable health systems worldwide.
