College of Science students are supported during every step of their journey at CSUMB. They have access to university-wide resources such as career planning, academic advising, tutoring and writing assistance. 

At the college level, we also offer a host of services, programs and opportunities geared toward science-minded Otters. 

Science-Related Clubs and Organizations

Among the 80+ student-led organizations on campus, you’ll find groups related to gaming, wildlife conservation, stargazing and sustainability.

Science Internship Program

Our students gain real-world experience through for-credit and volunteer internships with a wide range of organizations in the Monterey Bay area, across California and elsewhere. Whether for a summer, semester or year, these opportunities allow students to not just build skills, but to make career connections, too.

Science Student Success Program (S3)

Geared toward first- and second-year science students, the S3 program provides academic and personal support such as math and chemistry tutoring, peer mentoring and growth mindset workshops. Science Scholarships and Grants

Student Emergency Fund

The College of Science offers emergency grants up to $500 to help our students overcome unexpected financial challenges that may impact their academic progress at Cal State Monterey Bay.
