Faculty and Staff
Learn from professional illustrators and educators who prepare students for careers in science illustration through intensive studio courses, fieldwork, and mentorship.
The faculty of the Science Illustration program bring deep experience in visual science communication, museum and editorial illustration and natural science research.
Using their expertise in both traditional and digital media, they guide students through zoological and botanical illustration, field sketching, and design for print and motion graphics. They also connect students with professional opportunities, from internships at aquariums, museums, and publishing houses to exhibitions at the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History.
With small cohorts and personalized mentorship, the program’s faculty helps students refine their artistic voice, build technical fluency and launch careers in science illustration and related fields. Guest lecturers in areas such as art direction, science communication and intellectual property further expand students’ professional preparation.
