The Cinematic Arts and Technology Department prepares students to create meaningful, innovative work. Through project-based learning and interdisciplinary collaboration, students explore fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, and interactive media.

Our curriculum combines hands-on production experience with historical, theoretical, and critical study, giving graduates the tools to succeed as filmmakers, media professionals, and creative leaders.

Programs

Cinematic Arts and Technology, B.A. and Minor

The Cinematic Arts and Technology program will take you on a hands-on exploration of the theory and practice of filmmaking in all its forms, including narrative, documentary, experimental and animation, as well as the history of cinematic arts, to gain cultural, political and social perspectives.
