Events and Programs

The Cal State Monterey Bay College of Business hosts several campus and community events each year. It also offers a robust professional development program. Through it all, our students explore their potential and get recognized for their hard work. 

Business Showcase

This annual event celebrates our graduating seniors and recognizes outstanding students, staff, faculty, community partners, and supporters of the college. As part of the program, the College of Business presents a variety of honors, including the Business Leadership Award and Community Leadership Award. 

Business Capstone Festival

Capstones are a culminating experience for senior business majors. They collaborate in small teams with a real-world client to deliver a consulting project. During this annual festival, students share what they’ve learned during the capstone experience — and how their work positively impacts the local community and prepares them for life after graduation. 

Diamond Key Professional Development

This optional four-year program complements our career-focused business curriculum. Participants can earn “keys” — and ultimately get a certificate and special designation on their transcript — by attending workshops and events. They explore topics like time management, personal finance, personal branding and interviewing, as well as engage in experiences like the Start-up Challenge and Greater Vision Conference. 

Ethics and Responsible Business Forum

This event brings together students, staff, faculty, thought leaders and concerned citizens to explore ethical issues affecting business and society. Each year’s theme and program looks a little different, but features guest speakers, keynotes and moderated panel discussions. 

Ag Jobs: Bringing A Greater Vision

This event doubles as an industry forum and job/internship fair for students interested in various agriculture careers. Students get to hear from experts in the field while exploring career possibilities.
