Institute for Community Collaborative Studies

Equipping community-based partners with the data, insights and evidence they need to strengthen health, human services and public policy initiatives throughout our region.

Independent Evaluation, Community Impact

The Institute for Community Collaborative Studies (ICCS) supports public agencies, nonprofits and grassroots organizations by providing independent evaluation services that assess program effectiveness and guide data-informed decisions.

Turning Data Into Insight

For over 30 years, ICCS has partnered with community-based initiatives to evaluate what’s working, identify opportunities for improvement and ensure accountability in health and human services.

As a subcontracted evaluator, ICCS monitors program outcomes and helps partners understand whether their strategies are meeting goals, especially in areas focused on equity, public health and justice.

Recent Evaluation Projects

  • California Board of State and Community Corrections — Assessed outcomes of initiatives aimed at reducing recidivism among individuals with behavioral health challenges.
  • Monterey County Health Department — Evaluated the reach and impact of efforts to improve health literacy in underserved populations.

ICCS Research Team

ICCS brings years of experience in research, policy and community work. Led by trusted experts, the team helps partners develop solutions that advance health, equity and quality of life across the region.

Research Services

ICCS partners with public agencies, nonprofits and grassroots organizations to turn research into action. From health literacy to justice reform, these projects help build stronger, more equitable communities across the region.
