If you began your journey at Cal State Monterey Bay as a first-time freshman in the 2022-2023 academic year, these degree pathways are designed for you.

These recommended course sequences help you build a strong foundation, explore your interests and make steady progress toward graduation. Use your pathway to understand how your first year connects to your overall academic plan and to stay on track from your first semester forward.

2022-2023 Freshman Pathways

Lower-Division General Education courses can be taken in any order, except that all students should complete GE Areas A1, A2, A3, and B4 by the end of their third semester.
