CSUMB observes spring break and Cesar Chavez Day

Flowers help accent the annual spring break, March 25-29, at CSUMB.

Cal State Monterey Bay will observe spring break March 25-29, as well as Cesar Chavez Day on April 1. Some campus services will operate normally, but others will have limited hours or be closed. 

Physical and mental health services

Health and Wellness Services in Building 80 will be open regular hours during spring break, but will be closed April 1 for Cesar Chavez Day, this includes both the Campus Health Center and the Personal Growth and Counseling Center. 

On April 1, students can still access mental health crisis support by calling 831-582-3969, and may obtain health services at any Doctors on Duty clinics by showing their CSUMB IDs. 

Housing and Residential Life

Student Housing and Residential Life's main office will be open 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. March 25-29, but will be closed April 1.

Resident advisors will be on call throughout the break by phone, which is listed on the SHRL webpage.

Dining Services

A number of dining options will be unavailable during spring break week, including the main dining commons. All eating facilities will be open April 1, although weekend hours will be observed that day. A complete schedule is available on the Otter Kitchens webpage

Otter Student Union

The OSU building will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 25 to April 1. There will be limited services on April 1. 

Police and Public Safety

The campus police and public safety department will be fully staffed and on duty 24/7. The 24-hour non-emergency number is 831-655-0268. For emergencies, please dial 911. 

Basic Needs / The Hub

The Hub will be open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday during spring break week. It will be closed April 1.
