How do I get to the World Theater?

From the 1 South: Exit Imjin Pkwy, LEFT toward Marina. Continue straight. Turn RIGHT onto Imjin Rd. At the STOP sign turn LEFT onto 8TH ST., at the next STOP sign turn RIGHT onto 6TH AVE. Continue straight on 6TH AVE. until you reach LOT 28 on your right.

From the 1 North: Exit Lightfighter Drive and continue on Lightfighter Drive. Turn LEFT onto General Jim Moore Blvd. and continue on as it transitions to 4TH AVE. Turn RIGHT on Inter-Garrison Rd. Turn RIGHT on to 6TH AVE.

From Salinas: Take Reservation Rd. to Imjin Pkwy. Turn LEFT onto Imjin Pkwy. Turn LEFT on Imjin Rd. At the STOP sign turn LEFT onto 8TH ST., at the next STOP sign turn RIGHT onto 6TH AVE. Continue straight on 6TH AVE. until you reach LOT 28 on your right.

Where do I park?

When should I arrive?

We suggest arriving at least 30 to 60 minutes prior to the show.

When do you start letting people in?

The doors to the lobby open one hour before the show begins. The doors to the theater open 30 minutes before the show begins.

What if I am late?

Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the artist or production company's seating policy; but generally, the Ushers or House Manager will seat late-comers at an appropriate break in the performance, where and when it is least disruptive to other patrons.

How long is the performance?

Most performances are approximately 90 minutes and include a 10-15-minute intermission.

Is there a dress code?

There is no specific dress code for the World Theater. The attire varies depending on each event.

What happens if I cannot attend?

All sales are final and there are no refunds or exchanges. If you cannot attend and you would like to donate your tickets to a student, this can be arranged.

Can I take pictures during the show?

To respect all our guests’ experiences, video cameras, monopods, tripods, selfie sticks, audio recording devices and professional cameras (those including telephoto or zoom lenses) will not be permitted inside the World Theater.

There are also instances when the artist prefers to perform in a phone-free environment; meaning cellphones, smart watches, cameras and recording devices will be prohibited.

Is there a smoking area available?

Smoking, the use or sale of tobacco products, and the use of designated smoking areas are prohibited on all California State University properties. The World Theater is a smoke-free facility. This includes, but is not limited to, vaping, chewing tobacco, e-cigarettes, cigarettes, and marijuana (medical or recreational).

Can I bring food or drink?

Bottled water is only allowed inside the World Theater. Food and drink are permitted in the World Theater lobby.

Is there food and drink available for purchase?

Normally, there will be light food (cookies, chips) and refreshments (soda, beer/wine, coffee) for purchase at Phil’s Cafe, located in front of the World Theater (adjacent to the Box Office). You can always call the World Theater Box Office, in advance, to inquire whether your event will have Phil’s Cafe.

Do I need a ticket for my child?

Yes, each seat requires a purchased ticket. Ticket prices at $10.00 for children that are 12 years old and under.

Is there a spanish-speaking person available at the Box Office?

Yes, there is someone available at the Box Office that speaks Spanish.

I lost something at the World Theater. How can I check to see if you found it?

To inquire about personal items that may have been left at the theater, call the World Theater Box Office at (831) 582-4580.

Do you rent your venue?
