RSVP for Community Bus Tour

Don't miss this opportunity! Facilitated by our nationally recognized Service Learning Institute (SLI), this half-day tour of CSUMB's local communities will expose you to the many ways CSUMB connects with the local community. Lead by Applied Science and Technology Service Learning Coordinator Laura Lee Lienk (who also directs CSUMB's Return of the Natives program), you will learn about our local environmental and social histories, experience the impacts of long-term collaborative projects with local governmental and non-governmental organizations, meet many of our local community partners, and discover ways you can connect with the local community through your own teaching and scholarship.

  • Location: Meet at the Watershed Institute (Building #42) parking lot
  • 11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.: Introduction & acclaimed and not to be missed watershed activity
  • 12:15 p.m. sharp: Bus departs (lunch provided)
  • 5:00 p.m.: Bus returns to campus
  • 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.: Reception & discussion at Service Learning Institute
