As a comprehensive university, Cal State Monterey Bay is active and open year-round. During the summer, the campus is buzzing with academic programs and courses, college prep, K-12 camps, English language programs, research opportunities, conferences, events, and more.

Summer@ CSUMB Academic Session

With classes online and on-campus for 4 or 8 weeks, CSUMB students can get ahead and progress towards graduation. Community members are also able to take classes for personal enrichment, professional development, or for-credit towards a degree.

Bilingual Authorization Courses for Tri-County Area Teachers

The College of Extended Education, in collaboration with the Department of Education and Leadership, offers Bilingual Authorization Courses for Teachers during our summer session. The courses are offered in Spanish only and aim to prepare teachers to meet the needs of both the region and the state’s English Language Learners population.

Over 200 current and prospective teachers take classes at CSUMB during the summer. The College of Extended Education & International Programs, in coordination with the Department of Education and Leadership, has established streamlined registration dates and processes to ensure that students admission, registration and learning experience is a positive one during the summer session.
