Managing projects


  • Acts as First Point of Contact for New Technology Based Projects Requiring ESSA Resources.
    • SIS collaborates with ESSA directors to assemble and prioritize technology requirements to identify and communicate IT resource and technology requirements to the IT Project Management Office. SIS also plans and coordinates projects that do not require IT resources but do require ESSA Business Analyst resources. SIS hosts a collaborative forum called SAIT - Student Administration Information Technology that includes IT, ESSA Directors and Partners to review projects requested, planned, in progress, or launched as well as any technology related concerns.


  • Contact SIS for New Projects Requested
  • Communicates to Stakeholders,
  • Plans Resource Requirements & Time Lines and
  • Defines Scope.
  • As Needed or Directed: Facilitates Functional & Technical Reviews of Third Party Applications.


  • Provides Project Support as Project Manager, Lead and Contributor to Complete Projects.
  • Uses Project Management Methods Such As Schedules, Templates & Communication Plans.
  • Works with Subject Matter Experts, Sponsors & Stakeholders During Implementation.

Monitoring & Controlling:

  • Provides oversight of each project throughout the various project phases to meet deadlines.


  • Close each project successfully with sign off, documentation and archive of project history.
