Service Learning Institute

Rene Ibarra is a College Corps Service-Learning Student Leader from Wasco, Ca. He transferred from Bakersfield College with the goal of obtaining a Bachelor’s in Communication Studies. He is part of CSUMB’s Mentor Collective program where he guides incoming students to adapt and overcome challenges in a university setting; and has plans to obtain a BSN degree and fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming a travel nurse with Doctors Without Borders. His hobbies include, mountain biking, video games, Hanayama puzzles, and coming up with hobbies without following through with them.
