Class of 2016
M.S & B.S. (Marine Biology), & B.A. (Studio Art) University of North Carolina-Wilmington
Andrea Dingeldein is a marine biologist, naturalist, and general lover of nature. She is currently the Science Illustration Program's Teaching Assistant: she supports the digital classes, maintains the website, and teaches field sketching during the summer session. Andrea's focus is in marine illustration, but she enjoys drawing insects, reptiles, and any other creepy-crawlies she can get her hands on. She specializes in illustrations for peer-reviewed science articles and has published illustrations in Ecological Modelling and Bulletin of Marine Science. Other clients include NC Department of Marine Fisheries, Friday Harbor Laboratories, and Western Society of Naturalists. Would you like Andrea to visit your science class or give a talk at a marine lab about science illustration? Or maybe you'd like to join her on a field sketching adventure? Email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
