Kevin Cahill is associate professor of Communication Design and has been teaching in CSUMB’s School of Computing & Design since 1998. Prior to CSUMB, Kevin taught design at California State University, Chico. He also taught visual thinking and publication design at University of Santa Cruz Extension.

Prior to Chico, Kevin taught design at Virginia Commonwealth University after leaving his first teaching job at Indiana University’s Herron School of Art. He has a master of fine arts degree in design from Cranbrook Academy of Art. While he was a partner in Communication Design, Inc., the three-person graphic design firm in Richmond, Virginia, received many design awards, including American Center for Design 100 Awards and the AIGA Certificate of Excellence.
